Kampachi has received the recognition by Time Out KL and its readers for 9 times out of the 10 years these awards have been held. It is certainly an unprecedented achievement – among all the restaurants across all the categories, no other establishment has done this.

Datuk Nicol David has just been named by The Telegraph, a UK media, as one of the 20 greatest athletes in the world right now. She is grouped with other sport stars and heroes such as Simon Biles, Usain Bolt, Serena Williams, and Mo Farah. Hotel Equatorial teamed up with Datuk Nicol in May 2000, when she turned pro, and we are so proud to be a part of her journey. She was No. 7 in the world ranking for 2004, and made her way to the No. 1 spot from 2006 – 2014! We congratulate Datuk Nicol for this prestigious accolade and we look forward to welcoming more.
