The Star Online – From multi-outlet sushi joints to high-end internationally renowned brands, Malaysian consumers have long been captivated by the novelty of dining on raw fish and fresh seafood that is so closely associated with Japanese cuisine. Walk into any mall, and there will be one, if not a few, Japanese restaurant that will be brimming with people waiting in line for a seat. But few locally-founded chains have managed to match up to the legacy of and connection to the Japanese food scene quite like Kampachi.

Kampachi has once again been named Best Japanese Restaurant in the annual Time Out Kuala Lumpur Food Awards! Kampachi has received the recognition by Time Out KL and its readers for 9 times out of the 10 years these awards have been held. It is certainly an unprecedented achievement – among all the restaurants across all the categories, no other establishment has done this.

The Star Online – Some 80 volunteers took part in a community walk and cleanup programme along Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway in Penang to mark Hotel Equatorial Penang’s 28th anniversary.

Time Out KL announced their Food & Drink Awards 2017 winners list on 28 November 2017. Kampachi @ The Troika is the best for Japanese. The nominees in this category were all of high caliber, which included Nobu, and Taka by Saito Sushi. We congratulate the team of Kampachi Restaurants for this prestigious accolade and we celebrate this achievement with you.
