Best Rate Guarantee

Equatorial guarantees that room rates available on its website are the lowest publicly available rates on the internet. Should a lower rate be found on another website within 24 hours of making a reservation, Equatorial will match the lower rate and offer an additional 10% discount. To submit a claim, simply contact the reservations team at the respective property.

Equatorial Management Sdn. Bhd., together with its subsidiaries, affiliates, related and associated companies (collectively “Equatorial”) guarantees to provide the lowest room rate available on www.equatorial.com for any of its hotels, subject to the following terms and conditions:

  • A confirmed reservation must have been booked online on www.equatorial.com, and the confirmation number must be quoted when submitting a claim.
  • The claim must be made within 24 hours of the confirmed reservation and at least 24 hours prior to arrival at the hotel.
  • The original online booking rate and the Competing Rate must be for exactly the same room reservation. “Same room reservation” refers to the same room type, same package inclusions, at the same hotel, with the same dates and length of stay, same number of guests, same designation as either cancellable or non-cancellable, same advance purchase policies, and the same terms and conditions governing the room rate.
  • “Competing Rate” is defined as a published retail rate available through a website operated by another online booking retailer for the exact same hotel, room type, package inclusions, number of guests, check-in and check-out dates, cancellation policy, and payment terms that is lower than the published retail rate on www.equatorial.com.
  • The Competing Rate must be found on a bona-fide contractual website with Equatorial.
  • Claims may only be made per stay. A “stay” is defined as the total number of consecutive nights spent at the same hotel by the same number of guests.
  • Any Competing Rate offered in a different currency will be converted accordingly. Claims may be denied if the rate difference is determined to be the result of currency exchange fluctuations.
  • Upon verification of the lower rate’s availability and eligibility, Equatorial will match the lower rate and apply an additional 10% discount.

This Guarantee Does Not Apply To:

  • Opaque or auction sites where the hotel brand and/or specific hotel is not disclosed until the booking is finalised, including but not limited to Priceline and Hotwire.
  • Websites that package travel components such as airfare and hotel stay, hotel stay and car rental, or hotel stay and restaurant vouchers.
  • Qualified discount rates including, but not limited to, Government rates, Travel Industry Discounts, and Long Stay rates.
  • Unpublished or negotiated rates with corporations, travel agencies, groups, associations, or any rates not available to the general public, including rates requiring membership in a club, affinity programme, or other organisations.
  • Reservations made within 24 hours of arrival, including Last Minute Deals.

Equatorial reserves the sole right and discretion to determine the validity of any claim, including whether the Competing Rate is genuinely available and whether the claim meets all applicable terms and conditions. In the event of a dispute, Equatorial’s decision shall be final.
